オトメイト ラボラトリー Labo+ Vol.3 Review

Well~ This is the first time I'm gonna do a quick review on otome art books that I've purchased.
I didn't bother doing any scanning because I'm not gonna risk spoiling the book and its spine, so I opted to take photos instead (trust me, magazines are so much more flexible than books can ever be ¬∆¬). And it's gonna be this way for the other art books I may review in the future. 

I actually bought this because the cover is Hakuouki and I couldn't resist LOL.

The book is divided into 3 parts, consisting of 3 different otome games namely (1)Hakuouki, (2)Glass Heart Princess and (3)Diabolik Lovers.

My Lucky Friday

While wandering around trying to find our way to the other Kinokuniya branch yesterday, Fuyu-chan and I stumbled upon a cosplay shop in one of the shopping malls. We found lots of Hakuouki stuff too! At first I didn't want to buy this keychain because I'm not a fan of bookmarks whose designs are carved out from rubber. But I was attracted to the Hakuouki symbol keychain and the fact that there was a Souji card, so I bought it in the end. Plus I get 2 free illustrations by Kazuki Yone-sensei! I regret nothing!!

And while I was out, these arrived in the mail! Hurray for patience and endless attempts at saving money! I'll save more money so I can get more of these lovelies. Yum~

And I grabbed the February issue of Dengeki Girl's Style. The new Hakuouki game is on the cover. The freebie is a Brothers Conflict 2013 wall calendar. Pretty nosebleed-triggering illustrations inside- /shot/ I'll touch more about the magazine contents later. I really can't find time to do my usual reviews these days OTL school I hate you... DX

Doing random stuff...

Today's another Saturday. Time flies really fast! Tomorrow I'm celebrating my birthday together with my cousin's...I can't wait! But at the same time, I feel kind of nervous. I think it's because my friends are coming over. I initially did not approve of the idea of inviting my friends over, it's too embarrassing! But my grandma kept pestering me about it, and she threatened to call my friends and invite them over herself. And that's one of the last things I want her to do! So in the end I had no choice but to invite my friends...gosh I must brace myself for the embarrassment tomorrow. Seriously, it's not that I don't want them to come. I just want to save the embarrassment. (>_<")

So I'm bored after reading up on new drama CDs. Thought I'd talk about some of the mundane things that happened over the days. And I'm listening to drama CDs as I type... 8D

My poor parrot fish. He's been sick, and his eyes are popping out of their sockets... His other fish friends are slowly turning him into food, literally. Not meaning to be cruel or anything here, but I think that the best way to save him is to just put him to sleep... *cries* (TT＿TT)

And these...are birthday gifts for my cousin. Yes, they are oddly-wrapped because yours truly is such an amazing wrapper (￣^￣)

And since I'm bored, I'll ridicule talk about these Hakuouki and UtaPuri manga I bought ages ago...

This other manga's artworks are pretty good. In fact, they look cute and chubby! :D

Some of the artworks fall in the same category as those weird Hakuouki ones, but the last story in the book has pretty artwork (see above last photo)

And that first photo...is that Masato sporting long hair?? (O_o)

Weird as many of these manga artworks are, they provide a great laughing experience for me. XD I have no idea why I bought them knowing that they're full of weird drawings. I hope they'll make a change to this and hire better manga artists to draw...sometimes I feel it's a shame that they'll have to go and spoil the characters. ｜−・;）

Hello!!

I just came back from Kinokuniya. Bought magazines only this time (the stuff there are really expensive ToT) - Weekly Shounen Jump, Dengeki Girl's Style and earlier volumes of Otome dora.

It was my first time getting my hands on a Weekly Jump magazine. It's an awesome thing! Managed to read one chapter from Bleach, Naruto, Gintama and Kuroko no Basket. I didn't know Medaka Box is a shounen series... >o< All of these cost me a bomb but I think it's all worth it!

Kamigami no Asobi. Kazuki Yone's art looks refreshing here. The chibi are really cute too!

Uta Puri Debut! Look at all that merchandise and figures! Money, where are you? T-T

This one looks interesting! Can't wait for the other characters to be revealed!

Genroh. The art is very similar to Nise no Chigiri's. Is it illustrated by the same artist?

Toki no Kizuna Sekigahara Kitan. That Kazuya guy resembles a black-haired Saitou Hajime. Itou Kentarou and Hino Satoshi are starring in the game!

Glass Heart Princess. Ah...the two guys here are voiced by KENN and Suzuki Tatsuhisa~ *fan girl scream* The art style is similar to Amnesia- wait...or is it Wand of Fortune...? Same artist? I like the drawing style!

And I just realised one thing. All the while, I've been pronouncing Diabolik Lovers as DIE-UH-BAWL-LIC Lovers...and today I finally took the time to properly read the Katakana...it's DEE-UH-BAWL-LIC Lovers... (-__- ;) Argh English and its twists and turns, stop screwing with me... (Q__Q)
